Inside the four open-source & public-domain pillars

Soleilx began as a single question: can an independent overseas flagship hub gather four perennial tools of self-reflection — Jungian cognitive architecture, astronomical ephemeris, 1909 tarot iconography, and museum-grade public-domain art — without turning them into deterministic fortune-telling or clinical diagnosis? The answer is this page. Every studio here is built on open-source code or public-domain source material, and every interpretation is framed as reflective language rather than prophecy.

The first pillar is Jungian cognitive architecture. Rather than treating personality as a fixed label, we model Carl Gustav Jung’s theory of psychological types as a spectrum of cognitive preferences: extraversion versus introversion, sensing versus intuition, thinking versus feeling, and judging versus perceiving. Each of the sixteen type codes, from INTJ to ESFP, is presented as a clarity percentage, not a verdict. If your results lean 62% intuitive and 58% feeling, that is information to reflect on, not a box to climb into. We do not administer clinical instruments, and we do not claim diagnostic authority.

The second pillar is celestial mechanics. Our natal chart engine is powered by open-source astronomy libraries and the time-honored algorithms of Jean Meeus, computing true planetary positions in ecliptic longitude for any UTC moment. The Ascendant is derived from local sidereal time and the geographic latitude you provide. The resulting 360-degree wheel is an astronomical map of the sky, not a mandate. When we offer a daily “Do / Don’t” brief, it is editorial weather: a poetic reading of the current sky, offered with the same caveat you would give to a tide chart.

The third pillar is the 1909 Rider–Waite–Smith tarot deck. Pamela Colman Smith’s original illustrations entered the public domain long ago in the United States, and we serve them from our own collection. A single-card draw or a three-card spread is a mirror, not a message from the future. The keywords, iconography notes, and upright or reversed reflections are designed to spark intuition and creative writing, never to replace reasoned decision-making.

The fourth pillar is The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Open Access initiative. Masterpieces such as Jean Siméon Chardin’s Soap Bubbles are released under CC0, meaning they can be shared, remixed, and studied without restriction. Our Museum Aesthetic Temperament Quiz translates visual taste into six archetypal patterns — Classic, Romantic, Naturalist, Dramatic, Minimal, and Eclectic — and pairs each result with a public-domain artwork note. The quiz is a playful curatorial tool, not a psychological assessment.

Why this careful language? Because reflection is healthiest when it admits its own limits. Soleilx is an aesthetic and cognitive-style sandbox, not a medical, financial, or legal advisor. We are independent, self-funded, and nominatively fair in our references to established typology vocabulary. Nothing here is affiliated with or endorsed by The Myers-Briggs Company.

Use these studios slowly. Start with the 16-type spectrum, then look up the sky you were born under, draw a single 1909 emblem, and end with a museum piece that matches your temperament. The goal is not prediction. The goal is pattern recognition: a clearer sense of how you think, feel, and see.
